| During his 31 years of being involved in the Golf Turf Business Dean Cleaver has worked and experienced most things relevant to Turf management, both theory and practical, covering: • Course set-up • Course presentation • Nutritional Management • Disease, Pest, and Weed management • Budget and financial management • Staff management • Communication, with staff, club directors and membership • Construction • Drainage • Design work (Golf greens, Tees and bunkers Dean also has experience in the running of National and international Greenkeepers Associations, as BIGGA Chairman of education from 1992-95 and BIGGA Chairman in 1996. He was also part of a small group that founded the Federation of European Golf Greenkeepers Association (FEGGA): Chairman from 1996-99, Honorary PR Officer 1999-2000, and from 2000-onwards Chief Executive Officer, whose duties include: • Working with and behalf of 17 National Greenkeepers Associations • Assisting Countries with their educational programmes • Representing European Countries on Environmental issues, in particular the Committed to green programme • Organising European and world-wide events • Setting up European Scholarship Programmes • Market and media operations |
